dude, being addicted to fanfiction is so weird. you stay in front of your computer for hours a day reading different versions of those same characters falling in love and fucking again, again, again and again. and yet, we’re looking for more, creating more, making fanarts because, apparently, nothing in the world is more fulfilling than fictional love, the love we cannot have. that’s either inspiring or unsettling. or both.

My parents warned me about drugs in little baggies but nobody warned me about the addiction that came in the form of TV Shows, books, and movies. The addiction that makes you crave for well-written works that make your heart race, keep you hot and bothered, and, more often than not, break your heart. The addiction that keeps you up ‘til the wee hours of the morning because you keep telling yourself, “just one more”. No one gives you a heads up. You just start to obsess over fictional characters and their love stories. They don’t call them hallucinations, they call them “headcanons”. I didn’t know it was going to, simultaneously, make my life and also destroy it.

Potterlock AU: John was wounded as an Auror, not in Afghanistan. He gets away with a bit of magic in the flat, because Sherlock doesn’t pay much attention to domestic things.

Literally gagging for it.

This fic’s (almost) already been written.  It’s not exactly the same (John was not an Auror in it) but this is pretty darn close to the brilliant "More Things than are Dreamt Of" series by 1electricpirate, in which John was a magical prodigy but gave it all up to live (and fight in the war) as a Muggle, and what happens when Sherlock discovers this.  Brilliant worldbuilding.

Oh god I’m in love with this AU.

Does anyone else play that sort of sad fandom Old Spice commercial game where you go:

“Hello fan, look at your show, now back to that fic, now back at your show, now back to that fic. Sadly, that fic isn’t your show, but if it stopped using misogyny, racism, and homophobia, your show could be awesome like…

don’t try to tell me it’d go any other way

oh god, why is parentlock my biggest weakness?? i don’t even like babies!

If the government really is spying on my internet usage I hope they like gay fanfiction because that what they’re getting

“My name is James,” he says gravely. “It’s nice to meet you, Mr. Holmes. I’ve heard all about you.”

For Prettyvk’s parentlock & johnlock fanfic Crazy For Love, where Sherlock meets Moriarty’s son and takes him in. She’s filling my prompt in so beautifully I can’t help but to shower her in thanks ;A; <3

This is awesome! Thank you!

omg I am LOVING this fic!

i’m not even sorry.

it’s 4am, finish reading an 80k fic

"check out my sequel!"
